The restaurant from the Talented Mr. Ripley. , Abbacchio Arrosto (Roasted Lamb), Spaghetti vongole (Spaghetti with Clams), Carciofi (articholks Roman style – excellent!), Arabacchio alla Romano (Lamb Roman style), Fiori di Zuchero (Zuchinni Flowers fried – magnificent). Take the second steet from the right as you face the Torre de Mangia-dead ends in the Piazza del Mercato. 0577-28-08-94. Closed Monday. Went 5/24/02 – Very Good. House wine good (Chianti), Pappardelle with wild boar sauce excellent. Servers very nice. Prices very good (39 Euro ? for 2) Wild Boar very good – sauce excellent – order with patatene fritta (fries). No reservations needed. Try other grilled items and spaghetti pomodoro next time.
5/25/02: Went back! They do have a wine list – you must ask for it. Ribolitta (bread stew) was delicious – also, pork ribs (big pile) & Chicken Cacciatore. Plan to wait a while for your check (il conto) especially if they’re busy.
