O’Parrucchiano

May 29, 2016

We wrapped up our trip to Sorrento with a visit to our old standard, the Parrucchiano. My family has been coming to this wonderful restaurant for over 50 years. Not only is the food wonderful but the setting is amazing as you done in a Sorrento garden. Then on Friday we headed back to Brussels for the flight home on Saturday :-(😭

The Isle of Capri

May 28, 2016

We had another fun visit to the Isle of Capri. It was a bit crowded but still a lot of fun. We had a Pizza in the main Piazza in Anacapri then ride the chairlift to the top of the island for some amazing views! We then ended our day with another great meal at San Antonino. Some pics of key culinary delights are included….

Up to the Crater

May 28, 2016

Bill and I made the journey up to the top of Mount Vesuvius for a viewing of the crater and amazing views of Naples and the Amalfi coast. It is quite a hike but worth it!

We stopped in Frascati for a nice meal at Cacciani then headed down to Sorrento. Not much has changed here – still the most beautiful view in the world!

Grace’s dentist recommended this restaurant in Venice.  He says it’s really good, casual and the locals eat there.  Near the Rialto Bridge.

Viva Venezia!

May 18, 2016

We arrived in Venice late last night and had a nice day today walking around the city. We also took a boat trip to Murano to check out the glass works. We are planning to have dinner tonight at our favorite restaurant in Venice, the Taverna San Trovaso.

Hail the Kompioen – Brugges!

May 16, 2016

Well Brugges won the championship by beating Brussels and the town went a bit crazy. Everyone met in the city center for a big celebration. We also went on a great walk to see the windmills on the out skirts of town and talked to some locals about a new game we had never seen before that some gentlemen were playing in the park – Viking Cup. Sort of a cross between Boce and Jenga. We wrapped things up with a great Fondue dinner. Good times!
